Educational qualification:

All the candidates seeking admission in diploma courses need to be Class 12 pass from a recognised board with mathematics, English and science subjects.

The candidates seeking admission in post diploma programmes need to have a full time Bachelor degree in disciplines like Chemistry/Mechnical/Plastic Technology/Automobile Engineering from a recognised institute/university.

Selection for all courses is as below.

• Based on academic record and performance in the Joint Entrance Examination. Conducted by CIPET (CIPET - JEE)

CIPET Diploma, Post Diploma & Post graduate Diploma students are eligible for Various scholarship offered by different state and central government. CIPET will assist in obtaining the scholarship as per the norms of the agencies.

All the candidates from general category need to pay Rs 250/- for each application form. The SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs 50/-.

• Information Brochure and Application form can be obtained from any of CIPET Centres against payment of Rs. 250/- for general candidates and Rs.50/- for SC/ST candidates in cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of “CIPET”. Candidates belonging to North-Eastern states can get the application forms free of cost by producing their residential proof / appropriate support documents.
• Candidates can fill and submit the application form online. The details are given in CIPET website www.cipet.gov.in

• Attested photocopy of Date of Birth Certificate.
• Attested photocopies of entry qualification (X / Diploma / Degree Certificates)
• Attested Community Certificates (for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) candidates).
• Residential proof for North Eastern state Region(NER).(If applicable)
• Candidates shall take printout of Filled - in online application form and submit along with the above enclosures to Director (Academic), CIPET Head Office, Guindy, Chennai -600 032.
